Junker Hansen Tower or Witches’ Tower
The 20 meter high Witches' Tower is the closest to the castle and is located on the vineyard side. Like several other towers in the city at the time, it was used to lock up thieves and other criminals until the Revolution. Built in the 14th century, it is adjacent to the former residence of the Reichenstein family, now the 5-star hotel-restaurant Le Chambard.
